OUR PROGRESS
UPDATE 5/5/09 - Renovations are taking longer than expected so it looks like we won't be open for several more months. Please keep checking back for updates and be sure to register for info (register here) so we can keep you posted in the future!
Our progress? Well, we are moving right along and will post more info as we go along. We did manage to hang a sign that says "Coming Soon" on our new building! (That's Matt Haga on the ladder)
We are now working with our architect, Chris Price from Archimeleon in Mt. Airy NC. He has provided a few conceptual drawings and is currently working with us on the layout of the entire facility.
The new facility will also house our other business Professional NeTworks and Wiredog Communications. We are hoping to have the design stage finished by December and hopfully start construction the first part of January 2009.

Brian Reavis (that's brian on the forklift) and I spent a week in Ogden Utah last month breaking down brewery equipment that we purchased. It was a challange to say the least, getting the tanks out of the 2nd story building where the old brewery was setup.
(Brian is bringing one of our 50 BBl Fermenters down) |
|
(That's me, John waving at Brian before Dusty, the truck driver, heads east with our 25 BBL Fermenters, Brew Kettle and our 50 BBL Brite Beer Tank.) |
|
We had to lay every tank over on their side so the tanks would fit through the 2nd story garage door. We had great help in Ogden, from left to right - Rocko, Brian, Thad, Tim) |
|
(Our 50 BBL fermenters, 25 BBL Mash/Lauter Tun, and Glycol Chiller,)
Unfortunately, our brewery project has been put on hold for the past few months due to the economic downturn and lack of funding. We do have high hopes that things will improve in the near future, so please check the website in the future for progress reports.
